Win your audience with the power of stories.

Stories are powerful.

Stories are an important part of our culture and an equally integral part of doing business. We know that your world is busy, competitive, and ever-changing, and you want to walk into client meetings with presentations that are bold, clear, engaging, and, in the end, effective. But the media landscape can be chaotic, so crafting and delivering strong stories that cut through the clutter has become an increasingly crucial art, science, and skill. Meet Story Masterworks.

THE WORKSHOP LEADERS

Rich Simms is the writer/director of the new family feature film, “Team Marco,” making its way to audiences in 2020. He is currently developing the comedy series, “The Julie Stories.” Prior, Julio wrote the pilot and first and second seasons of Nickelodeon's hit new kids series, Paradise Run. Julio has written and produced film and television content for Nickelodeon, PBS, E! Entertainment, and James Franco’s Rabbit Bandini.

Before completing his MFA at the University of Southern California, Julio was an independent marketing communications consultant.  Working with a wide variety of clients — from solo entrepreneurs to corporations like Time Warner, Meredith Corporation, and the VNSNY — Julio focused on marketing and branding projects both small and large.  Prior to graduate school, he served as the Head Writer for the business development team at Arnold and Porter LLP, one of the nation's premier litigation firms.

With both a corporate and entrepreneurial background, and training in screenwriting and film production, Julio brings a unique perspective – both left and right brain – to the storytelling process.

AW, SHUCKS

Storytelling is a vital skill in our business. It’s not enough these days to have strong presentation skills, but rather one needs to possess the ability to weave data, media plans and recommendations into an engaging story. We were looking for a workshop to address this important talent. Julio was the obvious choice to partner with for this project. With his background in corporate communications married with skills and experience as a filmmaker, his Story Hero program was the perfect fit for our needs. Since launching the program we have only have had rave reviews on the course. He’s a valued learning partner and we look forward to a long relationship with him and his company.
